𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 :
Hey everyone,
I've made a small change in the story.
I've changed the locations from fictional places to real ones so that it feels more connected to the real world and a little more relatable while reading.
So now:
Devgarh is Jodhpur
Surajgarh is Udaipur
And Veer's side is based in Jaipur
The story, characters, and plot are exactly the same, nothing else has been changed.
But updated the blurb and character aesthetics with little changes.
It's still a fictional story, just with real locations now.
I hope you like this update 🤍 🤗

After Rudra's call ended, he looked at Diya.
"Where were you lost when you went to get the phone?"
"Nowhere... I was just looking at your watch collection. It's nice."
"Oh, that... yeah, I'm fond of watches. I've gathered so many that I had to make a separate shelf for them."
"That blue diamond bezel watch is very nice... I liked it."
She wasn't just saying it casually. She was trying to know something.
"Yeah, it's my favourite watch. And it's the only piece in the world because I got it customised."
That answer gave her the reply to one unsolved question.
"Great... it looks beautiful."
A small pause.
"By the way, Rudra, I think I should leave now. You should rest, and Maa will be looking for me as we have to leave for Jodhpur now. So... see you and take care."
"So soon you're leaving..."
Inside, he wanted to stop her. He wanted to hear her answer. But he couldn't say it because he himself had told her to take her time. Still, waiting was not easy for him.
"I mean... you haven't even seen Udaipur properly yet."
"Yes, but Papa has business meetings and some political meetings also. And we can't stay away from Jodhpur for so many days. As you know, people might need our help anytime. And I also have some project meetings, so I can't stay. But next time I come, I'll see everything properly... and by then your hand will also be fine."
It was also a hint that she would meet him again.
He understood that.
"Alright, as you wish... what can I do now? I can only wait for you."
"You don't look anything like how you were when you first came to Jodhpur... or how I had heard about you. I mean, you looked less talkative, a little reserved type... and very disciplined."
"What you heard is right. I am like that... I don't know why, but when I am with you, I don't feel like that. I become a different person. I think it's because you have changed me."
It was a soft, slightly playful confession.
Diya felt shy and couldn't say anything.
"Okay... now I am going. Bye, Rudra."
After some time, Diya and her parents were leaving.
Both royal families stood together in the courtyard.
"It was our honour to host you."
"The hospitality of Udaipur has been truly wonderful."
"We hope to meet again very soon."
Gifts were exchanged respectfully between the families.
Diya folded her hands slightly and looked at Rudra. Their eyes met for a moment.
Then they sat in their cars and left.
After a long journey, they reached Jodhpur.
Diya was lost in her thoughts the whole time during the journey. She was thinking about Rudra... and she was very happy about one thing she had just realised. She wanted to share it with Charulata.
After freshening up, she sat on her bed, thinking about everything that happened in Udaipur.
Just then, Charulata entered with a cup of tea and some snacks.
Diya was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice her.
"Baisa, in whose thoughts are you so lost that you didn't even notice me?"
Diya came back to her senses and smiled. "Nowhere... and how can I not notice you? You are my only friend. I share everything with you."
"Oh really? I am your only friend? But you forgot me after going to Udaipur... not even a single call."
"I didn't forget you... I just didn't get time there. There were so many functions."
Charu looked at her carefully. She saw her again lost in thoughts and smiling.
"Yes, I know why you didn't get time... because of Kuwar sa, right?"
Diya blushed a little. "It's nothing like that."
"Look at you... already blushing. You can't hide anything from me. So tell me, what happened?"
Diya smiled. "Okay fine, I accept. I can't hide anything from you. And I was going to tell you anyway... but I also have something else to tell you."
"Okay, tell me."
"Rudra proposed to me today morning."
She told everything, how he proposed and whatever happened in Udaipur.
"What did you say?"
"I didn't say anything... I just told him I need some time because everything happened so fast. I couldn't understand anything."
"You don't like Kuwar sa?"
"No, it's not like that. I do like him... and now I like him even more."
"Now even more? What do you mean?"
"That's what I wanted to tell you."
"Do you remember 2 years ago, when we went to Jaipur... and I got kidnapped?"
"How can I forget that day? It was such a bad day. I still feel bad that I left you alone at that time."
"No... don't say that. I am actually happy because someone saved me that day."
"Who?"
Then she remembered.
"Oh... your Mr. Unknown. But why are you remembering him now? You had left the hope of meeting him again."
"Yes... Mr. Unknown. I had left hope... but maybe my destiny wanted me to meet him again."
"What do you mean?"
"I told you, right? I never saw his face because he was wearing a mask. But I saw his gold watch."
"Yes..."
"Do you know whose watch that is... and who Mr. Unknown is?"
Charu looked at her.
"It's Rudra."
"Kuwar sa?"
"Yes. I saw the same watch in his room... and he himself told me that it's a customised watch. That means it's the only piece in the world."
Charu smiled in happiness. "That means Kuwar sa saved you in Jaipur... and in Udaipur also. That pole incident... your meeting was meant to happen."
Diya smiled softly. "Yes... I never thought like that."
"But when you came to know... why didn't you say yes?"
"I came to know just before leaving... I was so confused that I had found him, and everything happened so suddenly. I couldn't process all of it, so I just left from there."
Charu looked at her quietly for a moment, then smiled.
"Baisa... this is not confusion."
Diya looked at her. "Then what is it?"
"It's your answer. You just haven't accepted it properly yet."
Diya didn't reply immediately. Her fingers lightly played with the edge of her dupatta.
"When I realised it was him... everything just felt right," she said softly. "Like nothing was random. Like everything was meant to happen."
Charu's smile grew.
"I was just surprised," Diya continued. "Not confused."
There was a small pause.
"I don't have any doubt now."
Charu leaned a little closer. "So you like Kuwar sa?"
Diya looked down, but this time she didn't try to hide it.
"Yes."
That one word came out quietly, but clearly.
Charu's eyes lit up. "Then why are you still thinking so much?"
Diya smiled a little. "Because it's a big decision... but my answer is clear now."
Charu watched her carefully. She could see the change. The hesitation was gone.
"So you're going to say yes?"
Diya nodded slowly. "Yes."
"When?"
"Soon," she said, a soft certainty in her voice.
After some time, Charu stood up.
"Now rest, Baisa. You must be tired."
Diya nodded. "Hmm."
Charu walked toward the door, then turned back with a teasing smile. "And next time, don't forget to call me."
Diya smiled. "I won't."
Charu left the room.
The room became quiet again.
Diya lay down on her bed, looking at the ceiling.
Her thoughts went back to him.
His voice.
His words.
I want you to be my life partner.
A small smile appeared on her lips.
"Mr. Unknown..." she whispered softly.
All this time.
And she didn't even realise.
Her hand moved slightly, as if remembering that watch.
Jaipur.
Udaipur.
Everything connected so perfectly that now it didn't feel sudden anymore.
It felt right.
She closed her eyes, calm and sure.
"I was just late in understanding," she murmured softly.
Then after a moment, with a quiet smile,
"I'll say yes."
